Everyday Rituals

A ritual isn’t about getting more done or being more efficient. It’s more like fuel for our inner compass that helps us navigate the turbulent waters and savor life’s journey.

In the rush of modern life, our minds often resemble a stormy sea. We are tossed by waves of deadlines and the pressure to achieve. Too often, we find ourselves focused on what went wrong or what might happen next, instead of noticing the here and now.

I know this restlessness well. For years, I treated my life like one big optimization project. I measured each day only by how productive and efficient it was. Whether at work, at home, or at the gym, my goal was always to squeeze more value out of every hour. Even my early attempts at morning or evening routines weren’t true rituals. They were just extra items on a checklist, driven by the need to be “better” and “faster.”

But recently, something shifted. Inspired by fresh perspectives, books, and moments of quiet reflection, I began to see my life and purpose in a completely different light. I shifted my focus from productivity to presence. I realized that a ritual isn’t about getting more done or being more efficient. It’s more like fuel for our inner compass that helps us navigate the turbulent waters and savor life’s journey.

That’s why Everyday Rituals is a space where I step away from the checklist and return to the present moment. In this section, I document my journey to find rituals that truly ground me. Here, I share the practices I’ve tried and the new ones I’m still exploring–not to help you do more, but to help you feel more. These rituals are small, science-backed (mindful of our biology and energy), and soul-led. They are imperfect, evolving, and deeply personal. I offer them to you with the hope that you too will find your own rhythm in the chaos.
